Wander from a concert in the small hall, via an atmospheric performance in the foyer to the large hall where the musicians from Sinfonietta Riga shine. One of the highlights of the Grande Parade is a performance from this adventurous Latvian orchestra. Together with the Storioni Trio they will perform the Triple Concerto by David Lang. This American composer recently captured the hearts of audiences with his film music for Paolo Sorrentino’s cinematographic masterpieces Youthand La Grande Bellezza. Now he has written this wonderful concert for violin, cello, piano and orchestra especially for the musicians of the Storioni Trio and their festival.
Furthermore, the festival includes an appearance from no one less than top international violinist Ray Chen. He is artist in residence of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven in season 16//17. Ray Chen is a true musical mediator. With his unique charm he succeeds in winning over audiences from all genres. His phenomenal violin playing is rooted in rich tradition, but he is not afraid to communicate like a pop star. Come and sample his talent during the Grande Parade.
